The Press Club
In 1953, to promote the ethics and prestige of journalism, The Press Club was founded. Then, the club was located in what is now the “Bank One” building.
In 2003 the Press Club was revived. The Press Club sought a permanent dining and meeting facility, and an agreement was reached in December 2003 with the University Club.
Press Club members enjoy the same privileges as members of the University Club – plus a few tailored to your specific needs:
- Venue for regional, state, and national press conferences.
- Banquet facilities for meetings, programs, and events.
- Relaxed dress code.
- The Media Room—featuring six television screens, computer access and wireless Internet—is available for lunch, dinner or meetings.
- All of the University Club’s dining facilities, including the main, fireside, lounge and meeting rooms are completely accessible to Press Club members.
