SPINNING - Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned athlete,
this stationary cycling class can accommodate you. You will be guided by a
“coach” who will provide a training profile, music, and motivation. All you
need to be able to do is…pedal a bike! All riders are in control of their own
intensity, so all fitness levels CAN ride together to build cardiovascular
strength and endurance, burn calories, and/or become a better cyclist.
Beginner SPINNING & Weight Loss –Learn a series of 8 simple habits to incorporate 2
at a time to gradually improve your personal nutrition. You will learn to use a
heart rate monitor to exercise at appropriate intensity for your fitness level
in order to burn fat and calories and improve your physical condition. Sign up
in advance - 8 weeks / Jan. 12 – March 4
Group Strength (P90X) - This class is based on the popular P90X program,
designed to transform your body with a system of 12 muscle pumping workouts.
Every workout introduces new moves and routines so your body never plateaus and
you never get bored. Instructor Beth Damon adapts this extreme workout to
participants of all levels.
Group Personal Training - This is an opportunity for strength training with
individual attention, in a small group led by Chris Rush, certified personal
trainer and strength training expert.
Must sign up in advance: 4
weeks $48 or $5 per session.
Yoga - This
class will provide a general introduction to the practice of yoga. Students
will learn a wide variety of yoga postures that increase flexibility, strength
and balance. The focus will be on alignment and bodily awareness. In addition,
students will learn yogic breathing. The linking of breath with movement will
offer stress relief and overall wellbeing. This class is for everyone!
BodyFit
– This is a strength circuit with 12 stations in the weight room, followed by a
group stretch in the studio. All fitness levels welcome! (30 min.)
Pilates/Yoga
– Pilates exercises to improve core strength (Abs & Back) and Yoga for
flexibility and relaxation. Both practices incorporate breathing techniques to
relieve stress and improve performance. Beginners welcome!
